Auxiliary
The American Legion Auxiliary is a wonderful organization dedicated to supporting military veterans, children, and communities. Unit 209 contributes to the nearly 1 million members nationwide; the largest patriotic service organization in the world. Our members are women who are eligible to be an American Legion member; a wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, or grandmother of a member of The American Legion or of deceased veterans who served in the US Armed Forces during a time of war or conflict (step relatives are also eligible).
We would love for you to join our family in support of volunteerism, patriotism and dedication to our veterans, communities, and our youth. We have junior members (birth to 18 years) and senior members (18 and over).

A few of the programs we actively support are:
- Girls State. Girls that are a junior in high school can be selected to attend. This is a nonpartisan program where the young women are taught the responsiblity of citizenship and love for God and Country. Read more about Girls State/Girls Nation here.
- Crochete. We make and send Helmet Liners, Lap Blankets, and other crocheted items to our deployed men and women, as well as our active duty heroes recovering from wounds received in battle and serving our country.
- Pocket Flags. We provide Pocket Flags to our deploying men and women as a constant reminder of what they are fighting for back home.
